Abstract

Canada’s ability to effectively compete in the global business market is a rising concern among entrepreneurs, employers, community leaders, and government officials. This paper focuses on the strategies and initiatives undertaken by Asea Brown Boveri (KGB) company to maintain and improve their competitive advantages in the ever changing marketplace. ABB is the world’s largest electro-technical company with worldwide annual sales of 30 billion dollars, and employs over 200,000 people worldwide across 1100 companies. ABB develops and produces a wide Range of products all directly related to the production, transmission, distribution and efficient use of electrical energy and is the world’s largest supplier in the $60 billion electric power equipment industry.  In this article, we examine two significant patterns that will proceed into the 21st century and which will influence Canada's presentation. The first pattern is the steady opening of business sectors as exchange hindrances have been dispensed and more nations have joined international commerce zones. The subsequent pattern is the ascent of a group of new players who will become modern powers in the coming years. A basic essential for learning in the market is a decent training framework that shows everybody, not simply administrators, how to approach and take care of issues. The article also provides insights and strategies that institutions can undertake to compete in the global market and also raise a strong and knowledgeable workforce.
