Abstract

The old strategies of the Ontario provincial government limited the economic development. The manufacturing sector has substantial restructuring within the economy and new strategies for economic renewal is needed. Vital interventions are announced or being worked out, which helped the restructuring of the manufacturing sector. Framework has to be flexible and all community economic plans must be plugged into the provincial economic and industrial strategies. The new strategy is to have community control over economic development, that requires partnerships with all of the structures. Local structures and joint venturing can help to provide more investments and solve problems. It is important to establish partnerships between private sectors and local governments.
