Abstract

Almost 80% of CEOs polled in a recent global survey agreed that sustainability is vital to profitability. Leading companies are already integrating sustainable development into corporate strategy and operations. This shows that the debate over the need for sustainable development is now largely over. People recognize the clear and compelling environmental and health imperative. Equally important, they understand the increasing competitive advantage offered by eco-friendly technologies and practices.
